Peter Donnegan (Donegan) in front of the garden plan that will be erected at the foot of the castle. We guess the location of the 4 towers and the bridge.

As reported in the French newspaper, Courrier Picard,

For you, like me who has not the greatest abilities to translate, below a not perfect but enough to understand what was reported.

A Garden of peace at the foot of the Historial de Péronne, at the beginning.

The moats of the castle of Péronne will soon welcome a garden of peace on the theme of Ireland.

Peter Donegan, Salt Lake City, USA. March 2017

March 2017 saw Peter Donegan (that’s me) travel to Salt Lake City, Utah for a myriad of reasons; one of which was to do The Sodshow Garden Podcast, The Live Show.

The reason (?) it all happened was entirely down to Melinda Meservy, owner of a boutique garden store called Thyme and Place. Fair to say, a lot, more to my week there than that.

In the midst of getting garden projects completed for the year end I had been somewhat remiss in posting it here and as some may have gathered the news that I am a full GMG member.

Interview: Peter Donegan. Clonline Radio, Cork

above: Miriam Cotton of West Cork Garden Trail with Peter Donegan.

This interview first aired on Clonline Radio based in Clonakilty, West Cork.

Together with interviewer Moze Jacobs we discuss pretty much everything from how my interest in gardening and horticulture grew, from growing plants under my bed and getting it entirely wrong (aged 5) all the way to studying horticulture and to my first awards for landscaping and design.

We also talk about the very wonderful West Cork Garden Trail, the people who created those gardens and  just what it means to create something so very beautiful in the great outdoors and why.
