This year I wasn’t as fortunate. That’s allowed. Those remaining in the race really are an amazing list of weblogs. My congratulations sincerely to each and every one of them and sincerley also to the sponsors. Big bulaidh bós mór there.
Of course I’d like to win every category, but I don’t particularly undertsand techie stuff. I just know how to use it. On the other hand give me a tree and ask me it’s sisters name and I will make it talk to you. 😉
Peter Donegan Landscaping weblog had been nominated and loglisted but we didn’t make the finals. That said, my intention for blogging was never to receive an award. And although I wouldn’t mind the accolade 😆 when I read the finalist listings, those who did make the final cut and the eventual winners – I realise I have such a long way to go and so much to learn from those who are so good at what they do. A sincere bulaidh bós to all it was an honour to be in your company.
After that Huge praise and applause to all of the sponsors; To all of the bloggers I met and spoke with [and didn’t]: legends. A mention to the lads Darragh and team and John who did the videos; to Rick O’Shea our host; A note of applause to Eolai whos art decorated the walls of the hotel and once again to all who made the night so enjoyable. – [If I have left anyone out I apologise sincerely – let me know and I’ll edit the post].

as this is my first time to be nominated for the blog awards… the process was a little new to me and ‘maybe’ to you. I have written about it before – but that was because I was nominated. Now, I have been longlisted.
Here’s how it all goes: First one gets nominated. Then one goes to the long list. From the long list the nominees are whittled down to a short list of just five and from there the winner of that category is announced. A blog is only allowed to be nominated [eventually] in one category. The winners will be announced on February 21st, on the awards night.
To quote my last post on the Irish blog awards I feel sums up how I still feel. Thank you so very much once again.

As I said above I have a choice of category and must chose one or have it chosen for me. But, I really am just so happy to be a part of it. And as I am a newbie – I think I’ll let the judges decide that for me.
