The following 3 gardens were completed recently for Mark O’Sullivan of Clanforce Construction. They were the first gardens in Ireland I had been involved in for a time due to design work between projects in France and London.
Peter Donegan to design ‘Northern Roots Oldham Garden’ at RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show 2020.
Having returned from France and the inauguration of the WW1 Centenary Peace garden he designed for the 13th century Chateau de Peronne, garden designer Peter Donegan is set to return to show gardening at the Royal Horticultural Society’s RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show 2020 with the ‘Northern Roots Oldham Garden’.
Sunday 8th September 2019 the permanent Irish WW1 Centenary Peace Garden realised in the dried up moat of the 13th century Chateau de Péronne, known better as the Historial de la Grande Guerre and located in the Somme region of Northern France, was officially inaugurated. Read more
The Perennial Garden wins Silver Medal at RHS Flower Show Cardiff 2019.
Designed by Irish garden designer Peter Donegan and constructed by Burnham Landscaping, the contemporary garden was created to help mark the garden charities 180th anniversary. It is the first time Perennial have exhibited at the Royal Horticultural Society Flower Show sponsored by Brewin Dolphin, and the first time Peter (or any Irish designer) has had designs accepted to the prestigious flower show.

Perennial and Peter Donegan confirm Show Garden at RHS Flower Show, Cardiff 2019.
To help mark its 180th anniversary, Perennial has partnered with Irish garden designer Peter Donegan with a show garden for RHS Flower Show Cardiff (12-14 April 2019). It is the first time the horticulture trade charity has exhibited at the Royal Horticultural Society Flower Show and the first time Peter (or any Irish designer) has had designs accepted to the prestigeous flower show.
In November 2018 Peter was selected by a French jury to represent Ireland to design and realise the Irish WW1 Centenary Peace Garden at Chateau de Peronne in the Somme region of Northern France and see the garden in the dried up moat of the 13th century castle to completion. This will be Peter’s first public garden since his return. Read more
