Internationally acclaimed garden designer, RTE television’s Peter Donegan MSGD returns to Futurescape 2024 at The ExCel London this October 2024 leading the podium at The Pro Landscaper Theatre stage.

Internationally Acclaimed Garden Designer Peter Donegan MSGD returns to The UK’s largest and greatest horticulture talks event October 15th 2024 to explore and explain just how he ended up working globally, designing and project managing gardens internationally.

Ireland‘s most famous garden designer has just returned from a landscape architecture lecture series in Istanbul and Melbourne where he was invited to speak at (amongst others) The Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria. Not one to rest on his laurels, Donegan’s third stay there also saw him show garden judging and winning The People’s Choice Award for his own designs, the featured garden at the southern hemisphere’s largest and most prestigious flower and garden show. The DIY SOS television series garden designer had just announced his return to TV working alongside design assistant Elif Öztürk, building architect Dermot Bannon and contractors Maylim for this winter special double episode of RTE’s Room To Improve

Speaking on the Dubliner‘s return Futurescape Director Jamie Wilkinson noted:

“Peter is the only Irish full member of The Society of Garden Designers (SGD), has designed two inaugurated gardens at 13th Century Chateau de Peronne in Northern France, Cardiff winning a Royal Horticultural Society Silver Medal and Melbourne winning Gold, Silver, Peoples Choice Award and, three awards for his international design works from The Australian Institute of Horticulture.“

Jamie continued:
“He has lectured of recent in Turkey to Istanbuls Association of Landscape Architects, Keynote speaker at The Australian Institute of Horticulture Conference and judged at one of the greatest flower and garden design shows in the world. When we were last fortunate enough to have him at Futurescape at The ExCel London he chaired the discussion ’The Future of Landscape Design‘ and we are delighted he has agreed to come back to speak with us again.“

International Garden designer Peter Donegan Dublin

Peter Donegan MSGD is an international and local landscape architecture and garden design practice borne in 2001 and the Dublin based practice designs, consults, advises and project manages the design of private gardens, cityscapes, larger building surrounds and public landscapes globally.

Of his talk ’Going International: Broadening Your Horizons‘ ProLandscaper’s Nina Mason noted:
“Ireland’s greatest export is award-winning garden designer Peter Donegan MSGD. He has designed too many projects abroad, from Gold medal and People’s Choice at Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show, whilst also and speaking and judging there, to two sensitive landscapes at a 13th century chateau and one of fourteen designers selected globally and representing his country. His talks are always upbeat and entertaining and to hear of his experiences, from winning the work to managing the projects and the benefits of being bold and taking your practice international – we are delighted to welcome him back to London and the worlds greatest horticulture industry event“.
