France TV: Peter Donegan, Historial de la Grande Guerre, Garden Designer

The recording (below) for France Tv station Weo with Adelaide Bollart, was just as I began phase 2, of the completion of the Irish WW1 Peace Garden at Chateau de Péronne, Historial de la Grande Guerre, France.

Though an official inauguration is to be announced, the Irish Jarden de la Paix garden has was opened Tuesday 8th November 2018, in time for the Armistice Centenary.

A l’occasion du centenaire de la guerre 14-18, la mission centenaire et le label art et jardins hauts-de-france ont imaginé une autre manière de commémorer la fin de la grande guerre. 12 jardins appelés jardin de la paix ont ainsi fleuris dans toute la région. Chacun a été réalisé par des paysagistes internationaux de nations engagés dans le conflit. Exemple à Péronne où Adélaïde Bollart est allée à la rencontre du paysagiste irlandais qui s’est occupé du jardin aux pieds du château de l’historial de Péronne.

A garden of peace at the foot of the castle of Péronne

On the occasion of the centenary of the 14-18 war, the centenary mission and the label art and gardens of the Hautes-de-France have imagined another way to commemorate the end of the great war. 12 gardens called Garden of Peace have flourished throughout the region. Each one was made by international landscapers from nations involved in the conflict. Example in Péronne where Adelaide Bollart went to meet the Irish landscaper who took care of the garden at the foot of the castle of the Péronne historial.
