It’s kind of hard to explain the actual how an unbuilt garden picture [see before pic/ vid] in my head type dream becomes a real space that is something of the now present, great or better.
And, more often here I analogise that to falling or being in love, because essentially the [your] garden is a place or space that makes you feel something, of which you smiling as a minimum should be, the end result.
Before I get to where I’m going, go see the before works started image/ video below.
To what was done:
deck, synthetic turf, underlay plastic and [sub] soil levels reduced and removed. 2 skips later; hardcore in and levels raised; travertine paving laid; raised beds, seating and table hand made and built to measure; new graded bagged and fine dry soil introduced; plants hand chosen, selected and planted; and finally covered with a layer of decorative pebble.
It all sounds so very simple when I read that back. But maybe worth noting that this garden was everything piece in, and out of course, through the house only.
On a slight side note and for the smiles that greeted me every single morning – hugely important bearing in mind the delightful Irish weather we had during the gardens making; for the gentlemans handshake that met me upon our first meeting and for one fine thank you upon the gardens completion – a reminder yet again that what I love doing is my work; if I might call it that.
Happy. Very.
